What most preparation still sells
Recall, sold as readiness.
Most preparation is a memory exercise. Questions other people were asked. Answers to repeat back. Advice shaped by interviews that stopped running that way.
Recall works while the interview holds still. It has not held still. You direct a model and catch it when it is wrong. You read a trace you did not write. You build with an agent and own what it committed. You defend a design out loud while somebody pushes back.
None of that has an answer to memorize. So the room is built the other way round: work you do, checked while you are doing it.
Written, attacked, then measured.
A large bank is only worth your hours if every question had to survive something to get in. The bar is the same for the last one in as it was for the first.
Written with a reason
Every approved question carries a note saying what it tests and why that is worth an hour of yours. No reason, no serve.
Attacked on purpose
Then it is played against by someone trying to pass without doing the work. What survives that serves. The rest goes back.
Measured, then re-measured
A figure that cannot be recomputed from the data underneath it comes off the page. That rule has taken numbers down before.
What we build instead.
Every line on the left is easier to sell. It is also what makes preparation feel like progress without being any.
Hidden testsThe grader is holding cases you have not seen. Passing means the thing works, not that you recognized it.
A result you can checkThe tests that passed. The case that failed, with what it expected and what it got. Nothing here is a prediction about you.
Saying it out loudYou answer by voice, the way you will have to. The note comes back on what you said, not on what you meant to say.
A levelEarned once, and it stays earned. Nothing here punishes you for missing a Tuesday, and nothing throws confetti when you do not.
Questions attached to real openingsQuestions are matched against the postings we hold, so you can see how many of them one is worth before you spend an hour on it.
