What the service is, what the AI output is and is not, and the limits of our liability.
1. Nature of Service: an Automated Learning Environment
PrepRoom.ai is an automated, AI-driven platform. AI feedback and scores are generated and delivered without human review — interview practice responses, resume analysis, salary-negotiation aids, and feedback are all produced algorithmically by Large Language Models (LLMs) and proprietary code. Account administration and support — for example, responding to your messages or enforcing these terms — may involve our staff.
2. Classification of ATS Scores: “Learning Aid” & “Advisory Feedback”
- Any numerical or qualitative “score” provided by PrepRoom.ai is strictly a Learning Aid.
- These scores are Advisory Feedback designed to simulate how a generic Applicant Tracking System (ATS) might parse data.
- They do not represent a professional certification, a human evaluation, or a guarantee of job placement.
- By using this service, you acknowledge that the AI may produce “hallucinations” or inaccuracies and that no human has verified the validity of your specific score.
3. Company Names, Logos, and Interview Predictions
Company names shown alongside questions are our own estimate of where a question fits, derived from public information and our own analysis. They are not reports from those companies, we hold no confidential or leaked material from any of them, and nothing on the service asserts that a named company will ask a particular question.
All company names and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe the interviews users prepare for. Where a logo is shown, it is displayed at a uniform size for identification alongside other companies, and never as a badge of origin, partnership, or approval. Prep Room is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any company named or shown. Any owner who would rather their name or mark not appear can write to us and we will remove it.
4. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer of Warranties. The service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bose Ventures LLC expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the AI-generated feedback is accurate, unbiased, reliable, or suitable for any specific professional, educational, or employment purpose. Your reliance on any output from the service is strictly at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Bose Ventures LLC, nor its officers, directors, employees, or agents, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the service.
In no event shall the aggregate liability of Bose Ventures LLC, including its officers, directors, employees, and agents, arising out of or relating to the use of the service exceed the total amount of fees actually paid by you to Bose Ventures LLC during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Prep Room. The service is offered only in supported regions; access and paid purchases may be unavailable where we do not operate.
6. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the final content of your resume and your performance in actual interviews. PrepRoom.ai does not “submit” resumes to employers or act as a recruitment agency.
7. Affiliate Links & Course Recommendations
PrepRoom.ai may recommend third-party online courses (for example, on Coursera or Udemy) to help you close skill gaps surfaced by the service. Some of these links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. We surface these recommendations based on your profile and the gaps our analysis identifies — not because of any commission — and we do not control, endorse, or guarantee the content, price, or availability of any third-party course. Any purchase is a transaction solely between you and that third party, governed by their terms.
What we collect, how long we keep it, who it is shared with, and the rights you can exercise.
1. Automated Decision-Making Technology (ADMT) Disclosure
- Under CCPA and GDPR (2026 Standards), we disclose that PrepRoom.ai utilizes fully automated processing to provide services.
- Our AI parses the text of uploaded resumes against common industry keywords and structural patterns. It calculates an Advisory Feedback score based on statistical probability and pattern matching.
- Because our scores are purely for educational simulation and are not shared with third-party employers, they do not have a “legal or similarly significant effect” on the user as defined by GDPR Article 22.
- PrepRoom.ai does not provide human review of this automated feedback. By creating an account, you consent to receive purely automated feedback and acknowledge that individual scores are not reviewed by a person.
2. What We Collect & Store
We collect only what we need to run the service and tailor your practice:
- Account: your email address (your sign-in identifier) and, if you provide it, your name.
- Content you give us: the resume and job-description text you paste or upload, and your interview answers.
- Profile we derive from your resume to tailor practice: target roles and seniority, skills, work history (companies, titles, dates, outcomes), education, certifications, achievements, location (city / region), and any professional links you list (e.g., LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio).
- What we generate for you: the questions, critiques, scores, bios, and recommendations the service produces.
- Operational records: basic usage and billing history.
- When you upload a resume: the resume check now runs with an account, so your email address comes from the sign-in provider you choose, never from the file. We read the resume to extract the profile above. The file itself is kept only if you tick “Keep my resume on file” — with one exception: a resume you add to Your Jobs is stored without a tick, because matching openings and drafting applications run on it and cannot without it. Either way the same deletion window and Account controls apply; see Retention below. Interview tips are a separate, unticked choice on the same screen, and you can change it any time on your Account page, unsubscribe from any single email, or ask us to delete the address outright. We only ever send you tips about interview preparation, never anything unrelated and never anyone else’s marketing.
- If you turn on “Let verified recruiters find me”: your resume, name and target role become visible to recruiters we have verified, once that side of the service opens. It is off unless you turn it on, nobody sees anything before then, and your practice is never included — drills, scores, recordings and scorecards stay private whatever you choose. Turning it off removes you from that pool.
We do not ask for or store phone numbers, full street addresses, payment-card numbers (handled by our payment processor), or government identifiers.
Voice practice uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition; spoken audio is processed by your browser provider, and we store only the resulting text.
If you sign in with LinkedIn or Google, that provider verifies your identity and shares only your email address and name with us — never your full profile.
3. Retention & Deletion
- A resume file you upload while signed OUT is read to extract its text and is not retained. A resume you upload while signed IN is kept on file, because the tools that made you upload it run on it: matching and drafting for Your Jobs, and reuse for the resume tools so the next run does not ask again. Anything kept — the file and its extracted text — is deleted 30 days after you last use it (using it again extends the window). You can view, download, or remove any resume on file from your Account page at any time.
- Job-description text you paste or analyze is saved to your account so our tools can reuse it (for example, the “use a previous job description” picker). You can remove any saved job description individually from the picker, or all of them by deleting your data.
- Everything else we store is kept until you delete it. You can delete your data from your Account page at any time, and deleting your account permanently erases all of it from our servers.
- If you used a free tool without an account and asked us to email you the result, we keep that address until you tell us to remove it, or for two years without a reply from you — whichever comes first. Every email we send you carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to erase the address outright, which is different from unsubscribing and we will do both.
- A result produced by a free tool you used before creating an account — for example the questions a job posting points to — is held for 7 days so you can claim it by creating an account, and for 30 days after that if you do. Flagged inputs — the small number our safety screen holds for human review — are deleted after 90 days.
4. Service Providers
PrepRoom.ai is operated by Bose Ventures LLC, the data controller. To deliver the service we share data with vetted processors: Anthropic and OpenAI (AI generation — receive the resume text, interview answers, and profile context needed to produce feedback), Supabase (encrypted database, United States), Resend (transactional email), Stripe (payment processing — we never see your full card details), Cloudflare (bot protection), Vercel (hosting and usage analytics), and — only if you accept advertising cookies — Google (Google Ads conversion measurement, which tells us which ads bring people to Prep Room).
Cookies & advertising.Beyond the essential cookies that keep you signed in, we use two optional categories: first-party analytics cookies and a Google advertising cookie — each a separate choice. Where the law requires opt-in consent (the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Canada, Brazil, and South Korea), neither is set until you accept it in our cookie banner. Elsewhere, including the United States, they are on by default under a notice-and-opt-out model. Either way the controls are the same: the cookie-settings link in the site footer opens your preferences at any time, and if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal we honor it automatically — the advertising cookie stays off. Declining still lets you use every part of Prep Room.
5. AI Transparency & Opt-Out
- You may request a summary of the parameters the AI uses to generate your Advisory Feedback.
- To stop using the automated learning aid, choose “Delete My Account” in your Account settings; this permanently wipes your data from our servers (see Retention & Deletion above). To manage which emails you receive, or to opt out of marketing, use your email preferences.
Billing, renewals, cancellation and refunds.
These Purchaser Terms (“Terms”) govern your purchase of paid subscription tiers (Standard and Pro) and one-time purchases (such as top-up packs) for PrepRoom.ai, operated by Bose Ventures LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By subscribing or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms in their entirety.
1. Subscriptions, One-Time Purchases & Billing
PrepRoom.ai offers paid subscriptions on a month-to-month basis, as well as one-time purchases such as top-up packs.
- Auto-Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews each month on your billing date.
- Authorization: You authorize Bose Ventures LLC (or our third-party payment processor, e.g., Stripe) to charge your payment method each month on your billing date until you cancel.
- One-Time Purchases: Top-up packs are charged once at the time of purchase, do not auto-renew, and add usage credits to your account.
- Taxes & Merchant of Record: Prices are shown exclusive of tax. Applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated and added at checkout based on your billing location. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record for your purchase and handles tax collection and remittance where required.
2. Cancellation Policy
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Account Settings.
- To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel at least 24 hours prior to your renewal date.
- Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to your paid features until the end of your current paid monthly period. No further charges will be made once the cancellation is processed.
3. Final Sale & No-Refund Policy
As PrepRoom.ai provides immediate access to digital “Learning Aids” and proprietary AI-generated feedback:
- All sales are final. No refunds, credits, or pro-rated adjustments will be issued for partial months of service or unused features.
- One-time purchases (e.g., top-up packs) are likewise final and non-refundable, including any unused credits.
- We do not offer refunds based on the “accuracy” of AI feedback or your personal success in obtaining a job offer, as the service is purely advisory.
4. Fair Use & AI Token Abuse Policy
To ensure service stability and manage AI computing costs, your subscription is subject to our Fair Use Policy:
- Individual Use Only: Subscriptions are for a single human user. Account sharing is strictly prohibited.
- Any use of automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract AI-generated interview questions or resume feedback will result in immediate account termination without a refund.
- Usage Caps: While tiers may be marketed as “unlimited,” we reserve the right to throttle or temporarily suspend accounts that exceed 50x the average user’s monthly token consumption to prevent system abuse.
5. Price Modifications
- Bose Ventures LLC reserves the right to change monthly subscription prices.
- We will provide you with at least 30 days’ notice via the email address associated with your account before any price change takes effect.
- Continued use of the service after the price change constitutes your acceptance of the new rate.
6. Promotional Credits & Referrals
- We may from time to time offer promotional discounts, referral rewards, or account credits. These are promotional, have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for a refund.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw any promotion or referral program, and to revoke credits obtained through fraud, self-referral, or other abuse, at any time.
7. Limitation of Liability
Liability arising out of or relating to your subscription — including any billing dispute — is governed by the Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability section of our Legal Policy above, including its cap on Bose Ventures LLC’s aggregate liability.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Santa Clara County, California.
