Wiggle sort array
Reorder the integer array nums IN PLACE so it forms a wiggle pattern: nums[0] <= nums[1] >= nums[2] <= nums[3] >= ... Return the rearranged array. Many valid answers exist; the reference produces a deterministic one via adjacent swaps. Constraints: 1 <= len(nums) <= 5*10^4, 0 <= nums[i] <= 10^4.

State your approach and its time/space complexity out loud before you optimize. Handle the edge cases (empty input, duplicates, overflow), and say why you chose this over the brute force. Green tests are the floor, not the grade.
