CodingDistributed systemsAlgorithms & data structuresSenior–Staff~30 min

Given two sorted integer arrays a and b, return the median of the combined sorted array as a float. Either array may be empty (but not both). The combined length is at least 1. Return a float (e.g. 2.0 or 2.5).

What a strong answer looks like

State your approach and its time/space complexity out loud before you optimize. Handle the edge cases (empty input, duplicates, overflow), and say why you chose this over the brute force. Green tests are the floor, not the grade.
