Prompt with constraints upfront

Vibe & agenticAlgorithms & data structuresEntry–Mid~10 min

You need a tiny Go function that checks whether a string is a valid US ZIP code (exactly 5 digits). You want it to use only the standard library and be easy to read. You're about to prompt an AI assistant. Write the prompt, and explain why naming your constraints up front saves you a round-trip.

Implement
valid_zip_flags(candidates: list[str]) → list[bool]
Examples
in[["12345","1234","abcde"]]out[true,false,false]
in[["00000","12 45"]]out[true,false]
What a strong answer looks like

Treat the AI’s output as a draft to verify, not an answer to trust. Name the specific flaw and the input that triggers it, say how you’d catch it (tests, edge cases, reading critically), and how you’d re-prompt or decompose to get it right.

Vibe & agentic: describe the solution in plain language (or narrate it) and the coach grades your approach.

Which questions mattered is sealed until you submit. Telling you now would just be handing over the edge cases.
